Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, joined a delegation of leaders on Sunday to pay respects to the family of the late Emurua Dikir MP, Hon. Johana Ng’eno, following his untimely death in a helicopter crash on Saturday.

Speaking during the visit, Koskei described Hon. Ng’eno as a committed public servant whose dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on his constituency and the nation.

“Hon. Ng’eno was a dedicated servant of the people, firm in conviction and passionate about the progress of his constituency and our nation. His sudden departure is a painful loss not only to his family, but to all who worked with him and believed in his leadership,” he said.

The Chief of Staff emphasized that the visit aimed to offer solidarity and comfort to the bereaved family during this difficult period.

“During this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with his family, friends, and the people of Emurua Dikirr. May they find strength in the impact he made and comfort in the legacy he leaves behind,” Koskei added.

Residents of Emurua Dikirr have expressed shock and grief over the loss of their three-term representative, known for championing local development projects, including improvements in education, infrastructure, and health services.

Constituency leaders described him as a hands-on legislator who often personally oversaw development initiatives to ensure they met community needs.

The delegation’s visit included both government officials and local leaders who reiterated their condolences and reaffirmed their commitment to continue Hon. Ng’eno’s development agenda. Community members said the show of support offered a measure of comfort, highlighting the unity among leaders and citizens in mourning the late lawmaker.

Koskei concluded his remarks by praying for the MP’s eternal rest, acknowledging the deep void left by his passing.

“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he said, underlining the nation’s collective grief and respect for a leader whose service touched many lives.

Hon. Johana Ngeno’s death adds to the national tragedy of the helicopter crash, which claimed six lives, including close aides accompanying him.

His passing has prompted a wave of tributes from political leaders, community members, and organizations across the country.
