Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has launched a sharp political attack on Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, hours after the legislator held a press briefing addressing his absence during the Finance Bill vote.

In a statement, Kuria claimed he had previously warned Nyoro about the political influence of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, suggesting the MP is now facing the consequences of ignoring that advice.

“My brother Ndindi Nyoro, I warned you Rigathi Gachagua will finish you. He has you where he wanted,” Kuria stated.

Kuria’s remarks come in the wake of Nyoro’s Saturday briefing, where the MP admitted responsibility for missing the Finance Bill 2026/27 vote and raised concerns about the state of parliamentary oversight.

Kuria argued that Nyoro’s current position signals diminishing political leverage, alleging that even aligning with emerging political slogans such as “Wantam” would not salvage his standing.

He went further to suggest that Nyoro’s political future could be reduced to a minor local role.

“Today even saying Wantam will not save you unless you limit your ambitions to being organising secretary of DCP Kiharu Branch,” Kuria claimed.

The former CS also referenced “General Kifeeti” as a figure Nyoro would have to answer to, in what appeared to be a sarcastic jab at shifting political loyalties and power dynamics.

‘Finished Completely’ Remark Raises Stakes

In one of the most striking parts of his statement, Kuria declared Nyoro’s political fate as effectively sealed.

“Either you are finished completely or you are completely finished,” he said.

He concluded by describing the situation as “a sad day,” comparing Nyoro to Kenya’s pro-democracy figure Kenneth Matiba, while maintaining that his earlier warning had gone unheeded.
