Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has paid an emotional tribute to his late colleague, Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno, recalling personal memories that underscored their close friendship and political camaraderie.

In a heartfelt message following Ngeno’s death in a helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County, Sudi said one particular date remains unforgettable — August 17, 2018.

He revealed that on that day he accompanied the legislator to meet the woman who would later become his wife, describing the moment as an engagement that marked a major milestone in Ngeno’s life.

Sudi recounted the laughter, conversations, and shared dreams that defined their friendship, noting that their bond went beyond politics.

He described their relationship as one rooted in family-like ties, strengthened through years of working together and supporting each other’s personal journeys.

He further recalled standing beside Ngeno during his wedding preparations, dressed in a Maasai shuka, encouraging him to embrace marriage with confidence.

According to Sudi, the moment symbolised not only friendship but also the trust and loyalty they shared.

Beyond personal memories, the Kapseret MP praised Ngeno’s commitment to public service, saying his passion for politics and dedication to the people of Emurua Dikirr Constituency were evident in his daily work.

He noted that they travelled extensively together, shared both joyful and difficult moments, and occasionally disagreed, but their friendship grew stronger over time.

Sudi said he was devastated upon learning of Ngeno’s sudden death, describing the loss as painful and difficult to comprehend.

He extended his condolences to the family, constituents, and colleagues of the late MP, urging them to remain strong during the mourning period.

He concluded by expressing hope that Ngeno’s legacy of service, unity, and dedication to his community will endure, stating that his contributions to leadership and development will not be forgotten.
