Kenyan content creator Diana Daisy has reassured her followers that she is safe after deadly floods hit parts of Nepal, where she is currently on a tour documenting her experience for her YouTube audience.

Diana, who has been sharing content from her trip, addressed concerns about her whereabouts after news of the floods spread, prompting some of her followers to worry about her safety.

In a message shared with her audience, the YouTuber thanked those who contacted her to establish whether she was safe following the disaster.

“Thank you to everyone who reached out to ask if I was safe. I am safe and doing well,” Diana said.

She revealed that the areas affected by the floods were approximately 20 kilometres from her location, reassuring her followers that she was not directly caught up in the disaster.

Her update came as Nepal continued to deal with the aftermath of severe flooding that has caused deaths, destroyed infrastructure and left several people missing in affected areas.

Diana expressed sympathy for those affected, saying her thoughts and prayers were with Nepal and the people dealing with the consequences of the disaster.

“My heart and prayers are with Nepal and everyone affected by this devastating situation,” she said.

The content creator also urged people in affected areas to exercise caution and prioritise their safety as rescue and recovery efforts continue.

Diana's trip to Nepal has attracted attention from her Kenyan audience, with followers closely following the content she has been sharing from the Asian country.

Her decision to publicly address the situation also came as reports of the flooding raised concerns about tourists and other foreign visitors who may have been in areas affected by the disaster.

While confirming that she remained safe, Diana did not indicate that her travel plans had been cancelled or that she was leaving Nepal.

The floods have nevertheless highlighted the risks facing travellers in regions experiencing extreme weather, particularly in mountainous areas where flash floods and landslides can occur with little warning.

For Diana's followers, her latest update offered reassurance after concerns emerged online over her safety.

She ended her message by urging people to remain cautious, while extending her support to those affected by the floods.
