That is the reality one woman says she is facing after her partner allegedly pressured her to terminate her pregnancy, only to later publicly celebrate the same unborn child with another woman.
In an anonymous post shared on a popular relationship Facebook page, the woman revealed she is currently 11 weeks pregnant.
She recounted how her partner reacted coldly when she first broke the news, cutting her short and insisting he was not ready to become a father.
According to her, the man told her to “handle it,” a statement she interpreted as pressure to get an abortion.
When she questioned him, reminding him that the child was theirs, he reportedly dismissed her concerns and maintained that she should terminate the pregnancy.
The revelation left her devastated.
“I cried that whole night,” she wrote, explaining that the pain came not just from the unexpected pregnancy, but from realizing she would have to face it alone.
Despite the pressure, she made the decision to keep the baby. However, communication between the two deteriorated, with the man repeatedly insisting she was making a mistake and complicating her life. Eventually, she stopped trying to convince him to be involved.
Weeks later, the situation took a more painful turn.
The woman noticed a change in his behaviour—he had grown distant, but not in a remorseful way. Soon after, he introduced a new girlfriend on social media, accompanied by captions about “new beginnings” and finding happiness.
Still, she chose to remain silent and focus on her pregnancy.
But the biggest shock came when she received a screenshot from a friend. The image showed a gender reveal invitation posted by the new girlfriend, complete with decorations and a celebratory caption: “Can’t wait to find out what WE’RE having.”
The use of “we” struck a deep emotional chord.
The woman expressed disbelief that the same man who had rejected the pregnancy was now publicly embracing fatherhood with someone else, seemingly rewriting the narrative.
“He hasn’t checked on me. He hasn’t asked how the pregnancy is going,” she said, adding that he had offered no support.
Now grappling with feelings of betrayal and confusion, she posed a question to readers: should she allow him to be part of the child’s life, or move on completely as he appears to have done?
