Kenya is increasingly positioning itself as a prime destination for global investors, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi said on Saturday, highlighting the country’s stability, strong financial sector, and reliable judicial system as key drivers for investor confidence.

Mudavadi made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of international institutional investors from Stanbic Bank, led by Thomas Bisongo, Executive Head of Public Sector.

The discussions focused on practical strategies to boost Kenya’s investment climate and foster new strategic partnerships.

“Kenya is steadily positioning itself as one of the most compelling investment destinations in the world, backed by peace and stability, a strong and resilient financial sector, and a dependable judicial system that gives investors confidence in the safety of their capital,” Mudavadi said.

The Prime CS emphasised that Kenya’s Constitution offers robust legal protections for private investments, including seamless repatriation of profits, making the country an attractive hub for foreign capital.

He also noted Kenya’s emerging role as a convening centre for continental and global investment discussions.

Kenya is set to host the 2nd Common Market for East and Southern Africa Investment Forum (CIF 2026) on March 26 in Nairobi, reinforcing its commitment to regional economic integration.

Additionally, the country will host the France-Africa Summit in May, marking the first time the historic gathering is held in a non-Francophone country.

Mudavadi’s remarks signal a renewed push by the government to showcase Kenya as an investor-friendly economy, capitalising on the country’s strategic location and its growing influence as a regional economic anchor.

The meeting with Stanbic Bank is part of broader government efforts to solidify investor confidence and unlock opportunities across infrastructure, technology, and financial services sectors.
