Jubilee Party Deputy Organising Secretary and political strategist Pauline Njoroge has officially resigned from the party, marking the end of her 14-year political journey within the formation associated with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a detailed statement released on Tuesday, July 21, Njoroge announced her exit from the Jubilee Party’s National Executive Committee, where she has served as Deputy Organising Secretary.
She described her decision as a “deeply considered” move aimed at embracing a new political direction.
Njoroge, a long-time ally of Kenyatta, reflected on her journey that began in 2012 when she joined The National Alliance (TNA) as a communications manager.
She continued serving after TNA merged with URP to form the Jubilee Party, rising through the ranks to become one of its prominent voices in political communication and strategy.
“I leave with gratitude in my heart,” she stated, acknowledging the mentorship and opportunities she received under Kenyatta’s leadership.
She credited the former president for shaping her political growth and exposing her to governance experiences both locally and internationally.
Her resignation comes amid growing political realignments ahead of future elections, particularly in Nairobi.
Njoroge has recently been associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement, a platform she says aligns with her ideals of constitutionalism, accountability, and people-centred leadership.
The move has further fueled speculation about her political ambitions in the capital. In recent months, Njoroge has hinted at plans to contest a political seat in Nairobi, although she has not formally declared her candidature.
Political circles have also been rife with claims that she could emerge as a potential running mate to Embakasi East MP Babu Owino in a possible Nairobi gubernatorial bid.
While she did not directly address the speculation, her statement underscored a commitment to the “WANTAM” movement, which advocates for integrity, rule of law, and servant leadership.
“As one chapter closes, another begins,” she said, expressing optimism about the future and her role in shaping Kenya’s political landscape.
Njoroge’s exit is expected to have implications within the Jubilee Party, where she has been a key figure in messaging and mobilisation.
