Former Gender and Culture Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa has resigned from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), marking a significant political development in Kilifi County and the wider Coast region.
In a statement released on Thursday, July 30, Jumwa described the move as one of the most difficult decisions in her political career, citing consultations with constituents and personal reflection.

“After deep reflection, prayer, and listening to the voices of the people of Kilifi, I have officially resigned from the United Democratic Alliance,” she said.
