A narrative shared by political activist Morara Kebaso has triggered widespread discussion online after he recounted a story involving a Kenyatta University professor accused of abandoning her husband while he was undergoing treatment in Europe.
According to Kebaso, the account was relayed to him by a wealthy businessman who claimed his wife of 18 years left him following a medical crisis.
The man, who allegedly suffered a stroke, is said to have been taken to Europe for treatment accompanied by his wife, a university lecturer.
"Yesterday I sat down for an hour with a wealthy man. Rich with acres in Karen, Houses all over the city, ranches in Nakuru and Kajiado etc. He told me a story about how his wife of 18 years left him when he got sick," Morara stated.
Kebaso further alleged that during the medical trip, the woman met a new partner abroad, after which she allegedly ended the marriage and distanced herself from their two children.
The activist also described the businessman as a financially stable individual with investments including properties in Nairobi’s Karen area, as well as ranches in Nakuru and Kajiado counties.
He suggested that the separation was not driven by financial hardship, but by personal circumstances that unfolded during the overseas trip.
In his remarks, Kebaso framed the alleged incident as a painful example of betrayal within long-term marriages, urging community members to reflect on family values and relationships.
"Guy had a stroke. She escorted him to be treated in Europe and right there at the hospital she met a white boyfriend and that is how she dumped him and their two kids. Mind you the lady is a professor she teaches at Kenyatta University and this guy is the one who paid for masters and phd so it had nothing to do with poverty. Such betrayal is painful. Prof, hapo haukufanya poa. Mzee amenipea story nikafeel," he added.
He also referenced the professor’s academic standing, noting that she teaches at Kenyatta University and had reportedly been supported through higher education by her spouse.
