A social media post shared in the Facebook group “Wanderlust Diaries” has sparked discussion after a Kenyan family member updated on her nephew’s migration journey to Hungary, weeks after expressing concern over his employment contract and visa arrangement.

The latest update paints a more positive picture of his experience abroad, with the young man now reportedly working and settled in a stable job environment.

In an earlier post, the anonymous user had raised alarm after her nephew signed a contract written in Hungarian and was allegedly informed that he would travel on an “acrobat” visa before taking up factory work upon arrival.

She sought advice from other group members, questioning the nature of the arrangement and whether it reflected legitimate employment terms.

However, in a follow-up update shared a few months later, she confirmed that the nephew successfully arrived in Hungary.

Contrary to earlier fears, he is now working in a zoo as a handyman, with the post noting that the pay is good and accommodation is provided.

The update suggested that the initial uncertainty had been resolved once he reached his destination and settled into his role.

The post concluded with an encouragement to others pursuing overseas job opportunities, urging them not to give up in their search for employment abroad.

The development has since drawn mixed reactions online, with some users expressing relief at the outcome, while others continue to caution against unclear recruitment terms and visa classifications in labour migration processes.
