The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has released a detailed itinerary outlining party leader Oburu Odinga’s six-day tour of the Coast region, signalling an intensified push to strengthen grassroots support and internal party structures.

In a statement shared on social media on Tuesday evening, ODM confirmed that Oburu landed in Mombasa earlier in the day to begin the engagements.

He was received at the Moi International Airport by Mombasa Governor and ODM Deputy Party Leader Abdulswamad Nassir, alongside several Coast-based leaders.

According to the party, the visit officially kicks off on Wednesday with a high-level National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled to take place in Mombasa in the morning.

In the afternoon, Oburu is expected to meet ODM delegates from across the Coast region, a session aimed at reviewing party affairs and regional political strategies.

On Thursday, the ODM leader will tour Lamu County, with planned stops in Lamu town, Witu and Garsen.

The engagements are expected to focus on party mobilisation and consultations with local leaders and supporters.

The itinerary shows that on Friday, Oburu will head to Magarini in Kilifi County before addressing students and stakeholders at Pwani University later in the day.

He will then proceed to Mariakani for afternoon engagements, marking a key outreach to the youth and academic community.

Saturday’s programme will take the ODM boss to Taita Taveta County, with visits to Taveta in the morning, Voi at midday and Ukunda in Kwale County in the afternoon.

The tour will culminate on Sunday with a morning church service, followed by a major rally at Tononoka Grounds in Mombasa, expected to draw party supporters from across the region.

ODM communications director Philip Etale said the visit underscores the party’s commitment to strengthening its presence at the Coast and engaging members ahead of upcoming political milestones.
