Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called on Kenyans to carefully reflect on the leaders they choose, emphasizing that leadership is a sacred responsibility grounded in service and obedience to God.

Speaking during a service at PCEA Baltimore Church in Maryland, USA, Musyoka praised the Kenyan diaspora for establishing a church that preserves faith, culture, and identity thousands of miles from home.

He described the congregation as “remarkable,” highlighting how young Kenyans born in America confidently worship in their mother tongue, maintaining strong ties to their heritage.

“The message shared during the service was simple yet profound: guard your calling,” Musyoka said.

“Purpose is sacred, and leadership must remain anchored in obedience to God and service to people.”

He drew lessons from scripture, noting how the Israelites once demanded an earthly king despite God’s guidance, and warned that Kenya must similarly weigh its choices carefully, as leadership shapes the nation’s destiny.

The Wiper leader also addressed current challenges facing religious institutions in Kenya. He expressed concern over incidents where worshippers and clergy have faced intimidation for hosting alternative voices of leadership and national reflection.

“Places of worship must remain sacred spaces of prayer, refuge, and truth,” he said, urging continued prayer for the country.

Musyoka reaffirmed his commitment to serve Kenya with integrity and faith, pledging to uphold the calling entrusted to him.

His visit was accompanied by Deputy Minority Leader of the National Assembly and Kathiani MP Robert Mbui, as well as Makueni County Senator Dan Maanzo.
