Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has publicly expressed gratitude to friends, family, and well-wishers who offered support following the sudden passing of his son, Moses Muthama Nduya.

In a statement shared on X, Muthama acknowledged those who visited the family to console them, including Ridgeways Baptist Church led by Reverend Elijah Wanje, Light Christian Church Choir, and Reverend Mathews Mwalwa.

He also singled out prominent figures such as Senators Tabitha Mutinda, Hamida Kibwana, and David Musila, alongside academics Prof. Raphael Munavu and Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya, as well as community members Joe Mutambu, Benard Kiala, Urbanus Muthama, and Anastacia Mueni.

“A big thank you to all who took their time to come. Asanteni sana for your words of encouragement and prayers,” Muthama said, reflecting the family’s appreciation for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.

The senator had previously announced the heartbreaking loss, describing Moses as “a joyful and diligent young man” whose life was taken too soon.

“Though our hearts are heavy, we entrust him to God’s loving care. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he wrote in a post that touched many across Machakos and the wider Kenyan community.

The sudden loss has drawn widespread condolences on social media, with Kenyans and political colleagues alike expressing sympathy and offering support.
