An anonymous message shared in the Facebook group Marriage One Stop has triggered lively debate after a woman admitted she developed strong feelings for a matatu tout she encountered during a routine trip.
In the confession, the woman narrated how the brief interaction left a lasting impression.
She described the tout as tall, slim and calm, saying his appearance and mannerisms caught her attention as he helped passengers enter M-Pesa details inside the vehicle.
According to the post, the attraction did not fade after the journey ended.
The woman revealed that she later called the tout, pretending she was searching for someone else, before sending him messages on WhatsApp.
However, she said she was uncertain whether he had seen or ignored her texts.
“I am thinking about him all the time,” she wrote, adding that she was torn between keeping her feelings to herself or being direct about what she wanted.
She asked group members whether it was appropriate to openly approach him or if there was a more socially acceptable way to express interest.
The confession also hinted at deeper personal reflections.
The woman suggested that hormonal changes linked to age might be influencing her emotions, noting that the tout appeared younger than her.
She further stated that she hoped the man was not married, explaining that she preferred to avoid complicated relationships.
The post quickly attracted hundreds of reactions and comments. Some members urged caution, advising her to respect boundaries and consider the professional nature of the tout’s work.
Others encouraged honesty, arguing that clear communication could prevent confusion or embarrassment for both parties.
A number of commenters viewed the post humorously, while others used it to open wider conversations about attraction, ageing, and how people navigate desire later in life.
Several reminded the woman that fleeting encounters can feel intense but may not always translate into meaningful connections.
