A serious health crisis in Nandi County has left a local man fighting for his life, highlighting the challenges faced by families with limited access to critical medical care.

In communities across Kenya, stories like this remind us how quickly health emergencies can become overwhelming, and how collective support can make a real difference.

Daniel Kimagut Sang, also known as Kapcheptabut or Kaptororo, from Koibem village in Chepkumia Ward, Emgwen Constituency, is battling a massive tumor that has made basic activities like eating extremely difficult.

According to social media posts by Mwalimu Braxtone, the growth in Daniel’s mouth has reduced the space available for food intake, forcing his family to feed him with great difficulty.

The situation has caused immense pain and emotional strain on both Daniel and his loved ones.

Mwalimu Braxtone described visiting the family and being moved to tears by the condition he witnessed.

He emphasized the urgent need for medical intervention, noting that Daniel requires immediate attention to prevent further deterioration of his health.

To assist in raising funds for his treatment, a fundraiser has been scheduled for March 8, 2026, at Daniel’s home in Chepkumia.

Community members and well-wishers are urged to support Daniel and his family. Donations and offers of help can be coordinated through his wife, Mary Chepkirui, at 0705 591 774.

Organizers are calling on all compassionate Kenyans to step in and help ensure Daniel receives the life-saving care he desperately needs.

Every contribution, no matter the size, could help restore Daniel’s hope and give him a chance to return to a normal life.
