A Kenyan whistleblower has made explosive claims about the private life of a controversial local prophet famed for reported miracle healings, alleging a trail of deception, manipulation and staged spirituality behind the scenes.
Nelson Amenya, known nationally for his role in exposing the Adani deal, says he is a former follower of the preacher and has in recent days begun releasing what he describes as insider accounts from people who worked closely with the cleric.
The prophet’s name has not been mentioned due to the sensitive nature of the allegations.
In a series of statements shared online, Amenya alleges that the preacher lived in Israel years ago while studying and cohabited with a woman who later became pregnant.
According to the claims, the woman’s family rejected him on racial and religious grounds, citing that he was non-Jewish and Black. Amenya alleges the child was taken away and the woman married off to another man.
Amenya further claims that the preacher often boasted to close associates about having a son in Israel who is currently involved in the Gaza conflict, and that he once offered to convert to Judaism in a failed attempt to gain acceptance from the woman’s family.
After leaving Israel, the whistleblower alleges the preacher briefly stayed in Germany before relocating to the United States, where he reportedly entered another relationship.
Amenya claims the preacher shared personal stories about the woman, including her fascination with graveyards and her pet dog, details that allegedly later influenced how he treated staff members back in Kenya.
One of the more controversial claims is that the preacher discouraged the use of a female assistant’s first name because it reminded him of the dog owned by his former partner in the US.
Amenya alleges this reflected a pattern of control and emotional manipulation within the church leadership.
The whistleblower also paints the preacher as having deep-seated personal prejudices, alleging he openly expressed a preference for white women and foreign cultures, while making derogatory remarks about African women.
Amenya claims these sentiments sharply contrast with the prophet’s public image as a humble, God-fearing leader.
He frames the disclosures as part of a broader effort to expose what he describes as fake miracles, lies and psychological manipulation within the church.
The prophet and his ministry have not responded to the allegations.
As with previous claims involving miracle healings and church conduct in Kenya, the statements remain unverified and are likely to spark intense public debate about faith, accountability and the power wielded by religious leaders.
