Political strategist Pauline Njoroge has revealed her plans to enter elective politics in 2027, targeting a leadership role in Nairobi County.
She made the announcement on her Facebook page on Tuesday, citing widespread frustration with the city’s declining service delivery.
Njoroge pointed to persistent issues affecting Nairobians, including inadequate healthcare, water shortages, overflowing garbage, and poor sanitation.
She argued that City Hall must focus on serving residents rather than benefiting officials or contractors.
“The public outcry from Nairobians today is understandable. Our city is facing serious challenges—from health services to sanitation and water supply. If devolution is to work, City Hall must adopt a service-centered approach,” Njoroge wrote.
Having built her career as a political strategist, Njoroge says she now wants to transition from advising leaders to directly shaping policy.
She emphasized that her leadership will prioritize transparency, efficiency, and responsiveness to citizen needs.
The announcement comes amid growing criticism of Nairobi County, which has faced repeated complaints over delayed healthcare services, irregular water supply, and poor waste management.
While she has not specified which seat she intends to contest, her declaration signals a clear intent to influence Nairobi’s future leadership.
She concluded her post with a definitive statement: “And yes, in 2027 I will be offering myself for leadership.”
