Political strategist Pauline Njoroge’s decision to enter Nairobi politics in the 2027 elections has drawn public support from city lawyer Wahome Thuku, adding momentum to her emerging political profile.
Njoroge announced her intention to seek a leadership position in Nairobi County through a Facebook post, where she blamed worsening service delivery for growing public anger in the capital.
She cited struggling health services, water shortages, poor sanitation, and uncollected garbage as key issues affecting residents.
According to Njoroge, meaningful devolution in Nairobi will only be felt if City Hall prioritizes the real needs of citizens over the financial interests of officials and contractors.
She said county projects and procurement decisions should be driven by service delivery, not profit.
Shortly after her announcement, Wahome Thuku publicly welcomed her move into politics. In a social media post, the outspoken lawyer praised Njoroge’s decision and urged her to push forward despite criticism.
“HAPPY to hear my sister Pauline Njoroge intends to run for a political seat in Nairobi. Go for it,” Thuku wrote.
He went on to share three principles he said have guided him since his school days. Thuku encouraged Njoroge to pursue what is legal, moral, and harmless, to act without fear of public opinion, and to value resilience over failure.

“My greatest joy is not in never failing, but in rising every time I fail,” he added.
Njoroge, known for her work behind the scenes as a political strategist, is now seeking to transition into active leadership.
While she has not disclosed the specific seat she plans to contest, her message signals a clear intention to influence decision-making at City Hall.
Her entry into the race comes amid renewed scrutiny of Nairobi County’s performance and growing calls for fresh leadership ahead of the 2027 General Election.
