The death of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo continues to raise troubling questions, even after pathologists confirmed he died from severe injuries sustained in a road crash.

Three pathologists ruled that blunt force trauma to the chest, abdomen, and spine caused his death, but the autopsy has done little to clear the cloud of uncertainty surrounding the incident.

At the centre of the mystery is Jirongo’s final journey. Why was he driving towards Naivasha at all? Family members say the route does not align with his known plans, leaving investigators under pressure to explain the unexpected direction.

Questions also surround Jirongo’s last hours in Nairobi. Have police spoken to the people he interacted with before leaving his Karen home? So far, investigators have remained silent on whether those final contacts have been traced or questioned.

Attention has also turned to the bus involved in the crash.

Why has the bus company declined to release the passenger manifest? Without it, crucial details about who was on board and what they may have witnessed remain hidden.

Perhaps most puzzling is the absence of passenger testimony.

Apart from the bus driver’s account, there has been no public confirmation that other witnesses have recorded statements, raising fresh doubts about how the crash actually unfolded.
