Kenya has taken a major step in space technology and climate science following the successful launch of its Climate Camera (ClimCam) to the International Space Station (ISS), marking a significant achievement for the country’s growing space sector.

In a statement shared on social media, the Kenya Space Agency (KSA) confirmed that the ClimCam payload was successfully launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on April 11, 2026, from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The payload is part of the Northrop Grumman Cygnus XL commercial resupply mission (NG-24) heading to the ISS.

According to the agency, the spacecraft separated from the rocket’s first-stage booster minutes after liftoff and is expected to dock at the ISS on April 13.

The docking will allow the ClimCam payload to be installed and begin its mission in orbit. Get The Full Story Here
