Jubilee Party deputy leader and presidential aspirant, Dr. Fred Matiang’i, is set to address the prestigious Chatham House in London on Thursday, March 5 at 5 pm EAT, marking a significant moment for Kenya’s engagement on the global stage.

The announcement was made by Jubilee deputy organizing secretary, Pauline Njoroge, highlighting the event as a platform for serious international dialogue.

Chatham House, founded in 1920 following World War I, is renowned for convening world leaders, scholars, and policymakers to deliberate on diplomacy, international affairs, and global challenges.

Over the decades, the institute has hosted presidents, prime ministers, and influential thinkers from across the world, shaping critical discussions on global governance and policy.

Kenya has a longstanding connection with Chatham House. Among the first notable Kenyan voices was Tom Mboya, who spoke at the institute in the early 1960s as the country approached independence.

In recent years, other high-profile Kenyan leaders, including former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, and William Ruto, have also engaged the forum, using it to share Kenya’s perspectives on development, governance, and regional stability.

Dr. Matiang’i’s address is expected to continue this legacy, presenting Kenya’s policy priorities and vision under his prospective leadership.

In her announcement, Pauline Njoroge emphasized that Matiang’i’s participation reflects both his experience in public service and Kenya’s evolving role in international policy discussions.

With the world closely watching, today’s address offers Matiang’i a rare opportunity to position himself not only as a national leader but also as a global voice on issues affecting Kenya and the wider region.

This engagement at Chatham House adds to Kenya’s historical narrative of leaders taking national conversations to international forums, reaffirming the country’s commitment to global dialogue.
