In a vivid display of political devotion, a group of 50 UDA supporters walked for three days from Mogotio Constituency, Baringo County, to the party’s Hustler’s Plaza headquarters in Nairobi.
The trek, which began on Friday from Noiwet Village in Ngubereti location, Mogotio Ward, was led by youth leader Emmanuel Kipkurui.
Carrying the party’s yellow wheelbarrow symbol, the group drew attention for their endurance and commitment.
Along the route, Mama Grace Sialo Tangut provided the participants with milk and water, ensuring they remained energized throughout the journey.
Upon arrival, UDA National Treasurer Hon. Japheth Nyakundi received the group and commended them for their steadfast support.
“Your commitment to the party agenda and your tireless efforts in mobilizing for President William Ruto’s re-election in 2027 are truly commendable,” Nyakundi said.
The reception at Hustler’s Plaza was attended by key party officials including Nairobi County nominated MCAs Virginia Waithera and Cecilia Wairimu, as well as Party Directors Samuel Mwangi, Rob Jillo, Grace Gicovi, and members of the Secretariat staff.
Nyakundi emphasized that such demonstrations of loyalty inspire other party members to actively engage in grassroots mobilization ahead of the upcoming general elections.
The walk from Mogotio to Nairobi, spanning over 200 kilometers, underscores a growing trend of political activism among Kenyan youths, particularly in the UDA, who are increasingly using symbolic acts to strengthen party unity and visibility.
The group’s arrival at Hustler’s Plaza marks the culmination of a journey that highlighted discipline, community support, and the shared vision of sustaining UDA’s momentum ahead of 2027.
