Grace Wanjiku had always been a disciplined university student. In her third year studying accounting in Nairobi, she balanced coursework, part-time work, and church activities with admirable focus.

But midway through the semester, her nights became a source of terror.

It began with vivid nightmares.

She dreamt of being chased through dark corridors, hearing whispers calling her name, and feeling a presence watching her from corners she could not see.

She began waking abruptly, heart racing and body drenched in sweat.

Soon, the nightmares were accompanied by sleep paralysis — moments where she woke unable to move, struggling to breathe as an invisible weight pressed down on her chest.

Within weeks, Grace feared going to sleep.

Her academic performance suffered. She missed morning lectures due to exhaustion. Friends noticed her trembling hands and distant gaze.

She tried prayer, calming music, and counseling sessions, but the fear persisted. Even during the day, she felt watched.

Her roommate eventually suggested contacting Dr. Bokko, a spiritual healer known for addressing unexplained disturbances. Though unsure, Grace felt desperate for relief. She contacted him and described her experiences.

During their consultation, Dr. Bokko listened attentively. He asked about recent stress, emotional burdens, and changes in her environment.

He then explained that persistent nightmares and fear could sometimes be linked to spiritual disturbances or negative energies affecting one’s peace of mind.

He instructed Grace to bring a personal item she kept near her bed, a glass of water from her room, and a notebook where she had recorded her dreams.

In the following session, Dr. Bokko conducted cleansing rituals using herbal smoke and guided prayers.

He instructed Grace to cleanse her sleeping space, rearrange her room to allow more light and airflow, and place protective herbal mixtures near her bed. He also guided her through breathing exercises and affirmations to restore calm and mental balance.

Grace followed the instructions carefully.

That night, she slept without interruption for the first time in weeks.

Over the following days, the nightmares diminished. The sense of being watched faded. She woke feeling rested and calm. Her concentration returned, and she resumed attending lectures with renewed confidence.

Within a month, Grace felt like herself again. She continued practicing the breathing exercises and maintaining a peaceful sleeping environment. She also stayed in contact with Dr. Bokko for guidance and reassurance.

What had once been a terrifying and isolating experience became a lesson in protecting mental and spiritual well-being. Grace regained control of her sleep, her studies, and her peace of mind.

As exams approached, she prepared with clarity and confidence — grateful that the darkness that once haunted her nights had finally lifted. CONTINUE READING
