Whispers followed her everywhere. People spoke of her in hushed tones, and I always thought such stories were nothing more than market gossip.

I believed I was untouchable, that my hard work and dedication would shield me from anything sinister. I was wrong.

Two months after opening my new shop near Marikiti Market, my business was thriving. Every day I made profits exceeding KSh 20,000.

Customers streamed in, drawn to my carefully stocked goods and friendly service. Life seemed perfect, until one morning when everything changed.

Without warning, the flow of customers stopped. Days passed, then weeks, and my shop sat empty.

I tried everything—promotions, price adjustments, even appealing to loyal customers—but nothing worked. Frustration mounted. I couldn’t understand what had gone wrong.

Then, fate intervened. An accident occurred outside my shop, and the police required CCTV footage to investigate the incident. I handed over the recordings, unaware that this would be the key to uncovering the mystery.

After reviewing the footage, the police called me aside. They told me they had captured something unusual. A woman had been seen outside my shop late at night, performing strange craft-like actions. My heart sank.

I replayed the footage, and there she was—the very same woman whose name had circulated in the market for witchcraft. She had been the one casting spells, attempting to sabotage my success.

I didn’t confront her. I didn’t call her out or create a scene. Instead, I sought help. I contacted Dr. Bokko, a respected spiritual healer, who agreed to perform a cleansing ritual to remove whatever curse had been placed on my shop.

The process was intense and required patience, but I trusted his expertise.

Days later, the change was evident. Customers returned as if nothing had happened. Sales picked up, surpassing even my initial expectations.

The air around the shop felt lighter, and a sense of peace replaced the tension that had weighed on me for weeks. My business was thriving once more.

Since then, I’ve occasionally seen the woman at the market. She always looks away, never meeting my eyes.

There is no greeting, no acknowledgment—only avoidance. I can’t tell whether she regrets her actions, fears me, or simply acknowledges defeat.

I have learned not to dwell on her presence, instead focusing on my growth and the blessings that come from dedication, resilience, and a little help from the spiritual side.

This experience taught me a hard lesson: not all obstacles are visible, and not all challenges are solved with effort alone. Some require vigilance, discernment, and the courage to confront forces beyond the ordinary.

My shop is a testament to perseverance, the protection of spiritual guidance, and the triumph of determination over envy and malice.

Now, as I stand behind my counter, greeting customers with a smile, I no longer hear whispers of fear. Only respect and admiration, as my little shop continues to flourish at the heart of Marikiti Market. ...CONTINUE READING
