Musalia Mudavadi Bids Farewell to Outgoing Saudi Ambassador, Pledges Stronger Kenya-Saudi Ties

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, on Monday bid farewell to H.E. Mr. Khalid Abdullah Al Salman, the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kenya. 


The event marked the conclusion of Ambassador Al Salman’s tenure, which Mudavadi described as instrumental in enhancing bilateral relations.


Speaking during the farewell, Mudavadi commended the ambassador for his efforts in deepening Kenya–Saudi Arabia ties, noting his significant role in strengthening economic, cultural, and diplomatic links between the two nations. 


“I commend Ambassador Al Salman for the strong role he has played in deepening Kenya–Saudi Arabia relations and strengthening the bridge between our people and our economies,” he said.


Ambassador Al Salman expressed gratitude to the Kenyan government, the business community, and citizens for the support he received throughout his posting. 


He highlighted the collaborative work done in fostering trade, investment, and labour governance between Kenya and Saudi Arabia.


Mudavadi reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to continuing and expanding cooperation with Saudi Arabia across key sectors, including trade, investment, labour governance, multilateral engagements, and regional peace initiatives. 


The Prime CS emphasized that the partnership with the Kingdom remains a priority in Kenya’s foreign policy agenda.


The farewell ceremony was attended by senior government officials, diplomats, and representatives from the business sector, reflecting the breadth of Kenya–Saudi Arabia collaboration.


Ambassador Al Salman’s tenure has been marked by a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties and supporting the Kenyan diaspora in the Kingdom. 


His successor is expected to continue advancing the agenda of mutual growth and cooperation, building on the foundation laid during his service.


Kenya and Saudi Arabia have maintained a robust partnership, with both nations focusing on investment promotion, labour collaboration, and joint regional security efforts.
