Influencer Chy_Derah has shared a deeply personal story on X that has left many readers emotional and concerned.
She revealed that a strange incident in her home last week has shaken her marriage and left her full of unanswered questions.
According to Chy_Derah, the day began normally.
She went to the salon but finished earlier than she had planned. On most days, she always called her husband before coming home, but this time she chose not to.
It was their fifth wedding anniversary, and she wanted to surprise him. As she made her way home, she smiled, thinking about how they would spend the evening together.
However, the mood changed the moment she entered the house. She says everything was unusually quiet.
There was no sound from the television, no movement, and no voices. Feeling uneasy, she walked straight to the bedroom. When she opened the door, she froze.
Inside the matrimonial bedroom were her husband and his best friend.
Chy_Derah says she did not catch them doing anything clearly wrong, but something felt off.
The friend was dressed in trousers and a shirt but had no shoes on. He looked nervous and unsettled, like someone caught in a place he should not be. Her heart began to race.
She chose not to confront them. Instead, she quietly walked to the kitchen and acted as if she had seen nothing. Her mind was full of questions she could not bring herself to ask.
A few minutes later, her husband followed her into the kitchen. He appeared confused and anxious.
The first thing he asked her was why she had not called before coming home, as she usually did. That question shocked her. She calmly asked him why she needed permission to enter her own house. He did not reply.
As she stood there, more questions filled her mind. Why was her husband so worried? Why was his best friend in their bedroom on their anniversary? Why did everything feel so wrong?
She then remembered a comment the same friend had once made during an outing. He had spoken about how Nigerian laws treated the gay community unfairly.
At the time, she ignored it. But after what she saw, the comment returned strongly to her mind and made her uneasy.
Chy_Derah says she has tried to dismiss her suspicions because she does not want to believe anything bad about her husband or his friend.
Still, the incident has changed the atmosphere in her home. She says her husband now watches her closely, as if trying to figure out what she knows.
She has not confronted him yet and admits she does not know how to start the conversation.
Torn between speaking up and staying silent, Chy_Derah says her heart is heavy and she is seeking honest advice on what to do next.
