The Office of the Attorney General (AG) has unveiled a new VVIP Lounge, offering a serene and dignified setting for civil marriage ceremonies.

The facility was inaugurated today with the hosting of a civil wedding, marking the first official use of the lounge.

According to the AG’s office, the lounge was established to enhance service delivery and provide a more personalized experience for couples formalizing their unions.

The facility is designed to be welcoming and elegant, reflecting the significance of marriage as a key life milestone.

“The successful hosting of today’s ceremony demonstrates our commitment to improving the quality of services and ensuring citizens experience respect and dignity during such important occasions,” the statement read.

The VVIP Lounge comes ahead of Valentine’s Day, offering couples an exclusive venue to celebrate love and commitment in a formal yet intimate setting.

The Office emphasized that the initiative aligns with its broader strategy of citizen-centered service delivery, continuous improvement, and creating spaces that honor key personal events.

Officials noted that the facility is part of a wider effort to modernize and humanize public service experiences, moving beyond standard administrative procedures to focus on meaningful, life-affirming engagements with the public.

Couples using the lounge can expect an environment tailored for comfort, elegance, and solemnity, ensuring their civil marriage is both memorable and dignified.

As Kenya prepares to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the AG’s Office highlighted that the VVIP Lounge is more than just a venue; it is a reflection of respect for citizens’ personal milestones and a step toward elevating public service standards across government institutions.

This move positions the Office of the Attorney General as a pioneer in providing citizen-focused, high-quality experiences for civil ceremonies, enhancing both the symbolic and practical significance of civil marriage in the country.
