Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has launched a scathing attack on former President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of borrowing and allegedly misappropriating KSh 10 trillion during his tenure, a burden he says Kenyans are now paying under President William Ruto’s administration.
In statements shared on X, Kaluma criticized Uhuru for what he described as hypocrisy, claiming the former president continues to “lecture Kenyans on governance” despite the alleged financial mismanagement.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta borrowed and stole KSh 10 trillion which Kenyans are burdened to painfully repay through taxes and levies under President Ruto. And yet he is moving about free lecturing us on governance!” Kaluma wrote.
The MP emphasized that corruption remains a major barrier to Kenya achieving first-world status.
He warned that if he were in power, Uhuru and senior officials, including Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi, “would be rotting in Kamiti Prison.”
