I first noticed the problem after a casual weekend visit to a friend I had known for years.
We ate, laughed, and talked about life. There was nothing strange or uncomfortable about that visit.
But three days later, I checked my bank balance and felt my heart drop. A large amount of money was missing.
There was no alert, no transaction record, and no ATM withdrawal. At first, I thought it was a bank error.
I went to the bank, changed my PIN, and reported the issue.
