Supreme Court Judge Mohammed Kadhar Ibrahim was laid to rest on Thursday at Kariokor Muslim Cemetery, following Muslim customs that call for burial a day after death. 


The ceremony drew family members, fellow Supreme Court judges, Judicial Service Commission officials, former Chief Justices, members of the legal fraternity, and friends who came together to pay their respects.



The Judiciary described Justice Ibrahim as “dearly loved” and acknowledged that his passing leaves a significant void in Kenya’s legal community. 


Colleagues remembered him for his dedication, wisdom, and commitment to upholding justice, noting the profound impact he had on both the Bar and the Bench. 


Former judges and legal practitioners praised his integrity, humility, and professional excellence, emphasizing that his contributions will not be forgotten.


As mourners bid him farewell, tributes highlighted not only his legal acumen but also his personal warmth, with many recalling moments that showcased his kindness and mentorship. Justice Ibrahim will be sorely missed.
