The mystery of who was near Hon. Cyrus Jirongo moments before his tragic crash along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway is beginning to unfold.
The DCI has traced a white Toyota Probox seen on CCTV at Eagol Petrol Station just before the fatal accident.
Investigators say the car had been hired by Denis Kipyegon Koech on December 11 to pick up his son from JKIA, Nairobi, from New Mexico University, USA.
Koech and his family left Keringet on December 12 and returned after midnight. At Karai, they stopped briefly at Eagol Petrol Station to refill wiper fluid due to poor visibility.

The DCI is verifying all statements and has assured the public that the investigation into the fatal crash will be thorough and impartial.
