United States President Donald Trump on Christmas Day issued a holiday message that combined festive wishes with strong political language and sweeping claims about his administration’s performance.
In a statement shared on X, Trump wished Americans a “Merry Christmas,” extending the greeting even to what he described as the “Radical Left,” whom he accused of attempting to undermine the country.
He asserted that such efforts were failing, citing what he called major policy reversals and economic gains under his leadership.
The president claimed the United States no longer had open borders, weaker law enforcement, or policies allowing transgender participation in women’s sports. He also said crime had fallen to its lowest levels in decades and insisted inflation was no longer a concern.
Trump further pointed to a reported 4.3 percent GDP figure, saying it exceeded expectations, alongside what he described as record performance in the stock market and retirement accounts.
On trade, Trump credited tariffs with generating “trillions of dollars” in growth and prosperity.
He also said the country was experiencing its strongest national security position to date and had regained global respect.
The message, while framed as a Christmas greeting, reflected Trump’s familiar combative style and focus on culture war issues and economic indicators.
Trump ended the post with a call for national unity, writing, “God Bless America.”
The statement quickly drew widespread attention, underscoring how even holiday messages from the president continue to generate sharp political debate in the United States.
