Nairobi County Executive Committee member for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria has said his focus remains on leadership and service delivery rather than future political ambitions.

In a statement shared on social media, Mosiria distanced himself from political contests, saying his primary concern is the welfare of residents and access to job opportunities.

He said leadership should be measured by impact on people’s lives, not pursuit of elective positions or authority.

Mosiria noted that unemployment remains a major challenge, especially among young people, and called for practical engagement to unlock opportunities both within and outside government.

He said his work is driven by the need to ensure ordinary citizens benefit from available economic openings.

The county executive also urged individuals with links to government institutions to be open about their positions so they can help communities access opportunities.

According to Mosiria, silence by those in influential spaces often leads to missed chances for employment and development.

“If people are serving in government, directly or indirectly, they should come out clearly so we can engage constructively,” he said, adding that transparency allows communities to organise, lobby, and benefit from existing programmes.

Mosiria emphasised that his commitment is firmly anchored in empowering residents through development-focused initiatives.

He said meaningful leadership requires collaboration and honest engagement rather than personal political calculations.

His remarks come amid growing public debate over leadership roles within county governments and expectations for service delivery.
