MP Kaluma: Late Raila Left Political Will to Guide ODM Supporters

Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has said the late ODM party leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga left behind firm political directions that his supporters are expected to follow.

Speaking through a statement on X, Kaluma dismissed claims that Odinga had taken a political break before his death.

He said Raila had already outlined his vision for the ODM party and the Broad-Based Government.

“Some lazy politicians wrongly believe Baba Raila Odinga rested before giving The ODM party and his supporters political directions for the future! Please don’t lie to yourself,” Kaluma wrote.

He added that the ODM leader not only helped form the Broad-Based Government but also left what he described as a political will.

According to Kaluma, this will serves as a blueprint for the party’s future.

“Baba didn’t just leave us in the Broad Based Government but he also left a political Will to be followed and implemented by his people to the letter,” he stated.

Kaluma also expressed confidence that the Broad-Based Government would perform strongly in the upcoming November by-elections, noting that it would win all the by-election seats.

His message comes at a time when the country is mourning Raila Odinga, whose death marked the end of a significant chapter in Kenyan politics.

Odinga’s influence spanned decades, during which he led national conversations on democracy, justice, and governance.

Kaluma’s remarks reflect ODM’s commitment to safeguarding Raila’s political legacy and ensuring that his ideals continue to guide the party.
