Wanjigi Pays Emotional Tribute to Raila Odinga After Visiting Family in Karen

Businessman and Safina Party leader Jimi Wanjigi on Thursday evening visited the home of Mama Ida Odinga in Karen to convey his condolences following the death of Raila Odinga.

Wanjigi described the late opposition leader as a central figure in Kenya’s struggle for democracy and freedom.

In a message shared on X, he praised Raila as “an architect of our democracy, a voice for the voiceless, and a man who understood that true leadership means building bridges and serving the people.”

He added that Odinga’s impact was deeply rooted in the country’s history and progress, saying his contribution could be seen in the freedoms we enjoy and the peace we have.

Wanjigi emphasized that the late leader’s vision would continue to inspire future generations.

“To Mama Ida and to this remarkable family: know that his legacy is safe. Kenya lives on in those of us he mentored,” Wanjigi stated, adding that he would honour Odinga’s memory by upholding integrity, hope, and service to the people.

Several political and business figures have continued to visit the Odinga family home to offer condolences since the veteran politician’s passing.

Messages from leaders across the political divide have highlighted Raila’s lifelong commitment to justice, equality, and national unity.

Wanjigi’s tribute aligns with the broader national sentiment celebrating Raila Odinga’s role in shaping Kenya’s political landscape.
