Nairobi CEC Geoffrey Mosiria Rescues Unconscious Girl Left Untouched for Two Days on Moi Avenue

Nairobi County Executive Committee Member for Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, has urged residents to show more compassion after rescuing a young girl who had been lying unconscious for two days along Moi Avenue without anyone stopping to help.

In a statement on X, Mosiria said he was alerted by a concerned citizen about the girl’s condition and rushed to the scene immediately.

Upon arrival, he found her in a critical state and called an ambulance that later transferred her to Mbagathi Hospital for emergency treatment.

“Today, I received reports from a concerned citizen about a young girl who had been lying unconscious for two days along Moi Avenue. Sadly, no one had stopped to check on her condition. When I got the call, I immediately rushed to the scene and found her in a very critical state. I quickly called an ambulance, and she was taken to Mbagathi Hospital for urgent medical attention," Mosiria wrote.

He expressed disappointment that passersby ignored the girl’s plight, describing it as a sad reflection of growing indifference in society.

“It is heartbreaking that so many people passed by without helping,” he added.

Mosiria appealed to members of the public to act with humanity whenever they encounter people in distress.

“Whenever you come across such situations, please do not ignore them. Take action, intervene, and extend a hand of compassion. You never know, you might be saving a life,” he said.

The CEC concluded with a message of faith and kindness, quoting, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.”

The girl’s condition remains under medical observation at Mbagathi Hospital as efforts continue to trace her family.
