Kalonzo Musyoka Offers Condolences, Praises Ida Odinga’s Strength

Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka visited the Karen home of Ida Odinga on Thursday to offer condolences following the passing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The visit was a personal gesture of support to the Odinga family during their period of mourning.

Kalonzo described Raila as a “tower of strength” and commended Ida Odinga for her resilience.

Speaking to the family, he noted the immense grace with which she has carried the weight of both personal loss and the nation’s grief.

“The Odingas shared their leader with us so selflessly, so much so that Raila was the heartbeat of a generation that believed in a just and united Kenya,” Kalonzo stated.

He emphasized that the family now faces life without the man they first called Baba and deserves collective support from the nation.

Kalonzo assured Ida Odinga of his personal and family prayers.

“Mama Ida, you can count on my support and my family's prayers at this most difficult time. As you mourn, find solace in knowing that Baba's life was one of purpose and sacrifice,” he said.

The former Vice President called on Kenyans to remember Raila’s legacy, highlighting his dedication to the country and his people.

“May God give the Odinga family strength, and may Kenya never forget the legacy of a man who gave everything for his country and his people,” he added.

Kalonzo’s visit is among several high-profile tributes to Raila Odinga from political leaders and allies across Kenya.
