Boniface Mwangi: “If They Don’t Kill Me, I’ll Be Kenya’s Next President”

Activist and politician Boniface Mwangi has made a bold declaration regarding his political future, stating that he is confident of winning the presidency in the 2027 General Election — provided his safety is not compromised.

In a candid post shared on social media, Mwangi accused the current political establishment of enabling corruption and violence, describing it as a thieving, murderous regime.

He emphasized that no amount of public relations or political maneuvering can shield those in power from accountability.

“If they don’t murder me, I will win the Kenyan presidential election,”Mwangi wrote.

“We have People Power on our side," he added.

The post also included a direct appeal to voters, urging them not to fear backing his candidacy:

“Kubali utapigia Boniface Mwangi KURA Ikutoke! Usiogope!”

Mwangi, who is well-known for his activism, anti-corruption campaigns, and public protests, recently announced his presidential bid, promising a break from Kenya’s traditional politics of tribalism, patronage, and elite influence.

He has repeatedly stated that his campaign will be people-driven, relying on grassroots mobilization and volunteer networks rather than large financial donors.

His message positions him as a reformist candidate aiming to challenge entrenched political systems.
