A woman has opened up about an awkward and emotional encounter with her ex-partner that left her questioning her decisions and wondering what their relationship will look like going forward.
The woman shared her story on the Facebook relationship page Silent Beads, narrating how a visit meant for their child unexpectedly turned into something she never planned.
According to her, their relationship ended years ago when she discovered she was pregnant.
“We broke up when I got pregnant. He said he couldn’t understand how a woman my age could get pregnant,” she wrote.
The man blamed her for the pregnancy and walked away from the relationship, but the two later agreed to co-parent their child despite going their separate ways.
She explained that they set clear boundaries and rules about raising the child together.
“When our child was a little over a year old, he got married. He didn’t shirk his responsibilities because of that,” she said.
The woman noted that despite starting a new family, the father continued supporting their child financially and always sent child support on time.
“He paid child support promptly and even paid extra whenever it was needed,” she added.
Interestingly, the two rarely met physically and mainly communicated through phone calls.
However, their routine changed when their child fell seriously ill and had to be admitted to hospital.
“I was so scared because I had never seen our child that weak and immobile before,” she recalled.
She immediately informed the child’s father, but he was out of town at the time and could not come to the hospital.
Fortunately, the child later recovered and was discharged.
When the man returned from his trip, he asked if he could visit since he had missed seeing the child in hospital.
What followed, however, caught her completely off guard.
“Before I realized what was happening, I was picking up my clothes from the floor,” she admitted.
The woman said everything happened so fast that neither of them stopped to think about the consequences.
“Our child was sleeping in the hall, so I left him there and went into the bedroom,” she confessed.
She jokingly blamed the situation on ovulation, saying it had embarrassed her.
“I swear ovulation is a curse. No one can tell me otherwise,” she wrote.
Now, she says she feels embarrassed and unsure about what will happen between them next.
“When he was leaving, I didn’t even have the courage to walk him to the door,” she said.
