For over two decades, Samuel Mwangi* and his family lived peacefully on a one-acre plot in Kajiado County, a home he purchased 25 years ago from an elderly man known for his integrity. “The old man was moving and caring.
We never had any trouble. I paid the full amount and started building my dream home,” Samuel recalls. His wife and three children grew up in the house, creating a life anchored in stability and trust.
But five years ago, everything changed. The elderly man who sold Samuel the land passed away, and with his death came a storm. His firstborn son suddenly contested the ownership of the property, claiming that Samuel did not legally own it.
.Despite Samuel holding the original title deeds, the man began making threats, demanding that the land be returned. “It was a nightmare. My peace of mind was gone,” Samuel says.
The dispute intensified when Samuel learned that the son had allegedly bribed officials at the local lands office to create a counterfeit title deed in an attempt to claim the property.
Efforts to resolve the matter locally, including reaching out to the area chief, proved futile. “I was alone, and the development was giving me sleepless nights,” Samuel adds, reflecting on the stress that affected both him and his family.
In search of a solution, Samuel confided in his uncle during a visit to Kisaju. His uncle advised him to seek help from Dr. Bokko, a respected spiritual and traditional healer known for resolving conflicts that seem impossible.
“He assured me that within two months, the old man’s son would come to apologize and make peace,” Samuel explains. Motivated by hope, Samuel visited Dr. Bokko and followed his guidance, which involved a combination of spiritual consultation and traditional mediation practices.
Dr. Bokko’s intervention worked as promised. Within two months, the firstborn son visited Samuel and, true to the healer’s prediction, apologized for the disruptions and acknowledged the legitimacy of Samuel’s ownership.
“He came and pleaded for forgiveness. It was a moment of relief and joy,” Samuel says.
Since that reconciliation, the Mwangi family has enjoyed uninterrupted peace on their property. Samuel describes the resolution as life-changing.
“Dr. Bokko gave me back my peace of mind. I can now focus on my family and continue building the life we have always dreamed of,” he says.
For Samuel and his family, the experience was a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of guidance beyond conventional legal avenues.
