Maduro After Being Captured

The Star reports that United States security forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro while he was staying at a military complex, following sustained threats by Washington against his leadership.

According to the publication, the operation succeeded after an alleged betrayal by Maduro’s elite bodyguards, who reportedly stood aside when US forces landed at the secure location where he was being housed.

The newspaper suggests the lack of resistance was central to the success of the mission.

The Star further states that US authorities had conducted extensive prior intelligence work, including the alleged compromise of several officers tasked with Maduro’s protection.

As a result, when American special forces arrived at the safe house, they encountered no opposition from the security detail.

The report adds that Maduro was swiftly removed from the country and transported aboard a US naval warship to the United States, where he is said to be facing drug-related charges.

The paper presents the operation as a decisive and carefully coordinated move by American security agencies.
