Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that he and his team were targeted during a church service at Witima ACK Church in Othaya on Sunday. Posting on X, Gachagua alleged that President William Ruto had sent a “killer squad” to attack them.

According to Gachagua, worshippers inside the church were subjected to live bullets and tear gas, while his vehicles were torched outside the premises.

“We are marooned in church being attacked with live bullets and tear gas and torched my vehicles. We ask Kenyans to pray for us to come out alive,” he wrote.
