PS Fikirini Jacobs Mourns Passing of Reverend Leader Rev. Catherine Dzame

Principal Secretary for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy Fikirini Jacobs has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Reverend Catherine Dzame, describing her as a woman of exceptional courage and service.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Jacobs said the news came as a “profound shock” and praised Rev. Dzame’s legacy. 

“Mama Dzame was a woman leader of exceptional courage, service, and grace. I personally benefited greatly from her wisdom, counsel, and unwavering support,” Jacobs wrote.

The PS extended condolences to Rev. Dzame’s family, particularly her daughter Brenda Macharia, who is also a close friend. Jacobs prayed for strength and comfort for the family during this difficult period. 

“May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace as you navigate this great loss,” she said.

Rev. Dzame’s leadership was widely admired across communities, where she championed initiatives supporting women, youth, and social cohesion.
