Famous anti-corruption whistleblower Nelson Amenya has lifted the lid on how a controversial video of Prophet David that recently went viral was edited, igniting widespread discussion among Kenyans.
“So this famous video, ‘you guys are going by road’ – I’m the one who edited it,” Amenya confessed humorously to his followers.
He explained that the prophet’s personal assistant, Gitonga, contacted him while aboard a chopper, directing Amenya to pick footage from Riverside Drive.
Amenya said he took the initiative because the public “needed to know the president had sent a chopper to pick him up from Nakuru.”
However, Amenya revealed a surprising twist: the narrative about former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s involvement was false.
“The guy in a blue suit on the right with glasses is Thiong’o. He is the alleged link to Uhuru. Later, we found out it’s Thiong’o who had actually hired the chopper. The story about Uhuru was all hubris,” he said.

Amenya has continued posting snippets from his experiences, shedding light on what he calls the “orchestrated nature of the miracles” and the internal workings of the church.
His revelations have sparked debate online, with some praising his courage while others question his motives.
The viral clip and Amenya’s disclosures have intensified scrutiny of Prophet David’s practices, highlighting the growing role of social media in exposing controversial religious figures in Kenya.
