It started one evening when I returned home late from work.
The house was quiet, unusually quiet. I went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, and that’s when I saw it on the dining table, scrawled in what looked like blood, were the words: “I am watching you.” My heart stopped.
I rubbed my eyes, convinced it was a prank, maybe something from a nightmare. But it wasn’t.
