The Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) on Monday opened a youth registration drive in Shella Ward, Malindi Constituency, in a move party leaders described as a “political bushfire” sweeping across the ground.
The grassroots mobilization was led by Hon. Aisha Jumwa, PAA’s gubernatorial candidate, alongside the party’s Youth President Hon. Nyundo and other leaders.
During the exercise, hundreds of young people turned out to register as party members, some arriving in groups and others carrying babies on their backs, reflecting a surge of enthusiasm across generations.
Speaking on the occasion, PAA highlighted the unprecedented energy of the drive, emphasizing its role in advancing the youth agenda within the party.
“Youths are turning out in massive numbers to register as PAA members… This fire cannot be contained, it cannot be silenced, and it cannot be stopped,” the party said.
Hon. Jumwa and Hon. Nyundo called on young people to remain united in purpose, commit to strong organization, and actively participate in shaping the party’s future.
The leaders framed the registration as a platform for young people to assert their influence and drive political change.
The party described the movement as powered by hope, urgency, and a generational hunger for change, signaling a shift in grassroots political engagement in Kilifi.
PAA officials said the registration would continue to build momentum ahead of key political events, with youth mobilization at the center of their strategy.
