In a candid Facebook post, Dildra Sisuma has shared the unusual story of how she met her husband, saying her earlier attempts to find a partner “through all sorts of tricks” failed.
Sisuma described trying traditional and creative approaches, including introductions through friends’ relatives and attending social gatherings at hotels.
“I tried many crazy things which never worked. Relationships would start but end quickly, like a credit that fails to clear,” she wrote.
She even recounted attending funerals of wealthy families, hoping to meet a potential husband among relatives and guests, but those efforts proved fruitless.
Her story took a dramatic turn when she returned home one day to find a masked man inside her apartment.
“He was busy collecting stuff and putting it in a bag. I realized he was stealing,” Situma wrote.
Instead of panicking, she engaged him in conversation. The man explained that he was hungry and resorted to stealing to get food.
Situma then prepared him a proper meal and persuaded him to abandon the habit.
“After eating, he wanted to leave but I told him he wasn’t going anywhere. He calmed down, and that’s how I got a husband,” she said.
Her post concluded with advice to women seeking partners: “Leave your doors open… maybe you’ll find a husband. Perhaps even a thief, but one who will stay with you.”
Situma’s story has since sparked conversations online about unconventional paths to love, safety in homes, and the role of empathy in human connections
