Mlolongo residents can now travel in comfort as Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti officially opened upgraded roads in the area.

The project covers the Police Housing Loop Road, Mlolongo Dispensary, and Assisi Nursing Home access roads.

For years, these roads turned into muddy traps whenever it rained, disrupting daily life, business, and access to health services. That struggle is now over.

The newly upgraded roads are built to bitumen standard, ensuring smooth travel in all weather conditions.

Governor Ndeti personally inspected the works to ensure they meet all required standards.

“I confirmed the roads serve the community effectively,” she stated on X.

The upgrades bring immediate relief to residents and traders who previously struggled with delays, vehicle damage, and limited access to key services.

The county also improved drainage and added proper signage to make the roads safer and more durable.

The county government said similar projects are planned across Machakos to tackle persistent road challenges.

With the bitumen roads now open, Mlolongo is set for smoother travel, better access to healthcare, and easier business operations.
