Political analyst and former Kibra MP aspirant, Dr. Owiti Owayo, has alleged details of a meeting at former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Ichaweri residence that could have implications for the 2027 elections.
According to Dr. Owayo, Governor Anne Waiguru was in the meeting for two hours before President William Ruto arrived.
Dr. Owayo further alleged that Waiguru’s recent statements about her 2027 presidential ambitions are a way of positioning herself strategically ahead of the elections.
He claims her influence in the Mount Kenya region, combined with her ties to Uhuru, could make her a significant factor in shaping political alliances and voter sentiment in the area.
The analyst also alleged that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua may need to reassess his political strategy in light of Waiguru’s rising influence.
