Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria led a high-profile delegation to visit Maurice Ogeta, the late former Prime Minister and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s bodyguard of 28 years, at his home in Uyoma, Rarieda, Siaya County.
In a statement, Kuria described Ogeta as “the last man on earth to walk with Baba,” praising his unwavering loyalty and dedication.
The visit was both a personal tribute and an acknowledgment of Ogeta’s years of service to Odinga, including accompanying him on international trips.
Joining Kuria were several political figures, including Hon Walters Owino (MP Awendo), PS Ouma Oluga of Medical Services, Roots Party leader Hon George Luchiri Wajackoya, and Hon Nuru Okanga.
Kuria’s team spent time with Ogeta reflecting on memories and experiences with Odinga, highlighting the enduring personal bonds behind political alliances.
